Operating Rule

For substantial creative or implementation work, read context, identify constraints, outline the approach, and then execute. In default Codex mode, do not stop at a plan unless explicit approval is required or the action is risky.

When To Ask

Ask before irreversible, destructive, credentialed, production, expensive, scope-changing, or strategically ambiguous work. Otherwise make a reasonable choice and keep moving.

Failure Mode

Skipping the design pass causes broad rewrites, wrong abstractions, and UI/product work that has no point of view.
